In a bizarre video that is doing the rounds on social media, two female Secret Service agents engaged in a fistfight outside former president Barack Obama's DC mansion. Both of them are part of Obama's security detail and they got in a brawl apparently after the replacement came in late. The brawl took place on May 21 at around 2.30am. Both agents were on duty, but it is not known whether the Obamas were the home.
One of the Secret Service agents was reportedly heard calling for a supervisor as she threatened to attack her colleague. "Can I get a supervisor down to Delta two immediately before I whoop this girl's a**,' the agent in the audio said.
The Secret Service issued a statement reacting to the viral video and said both of them have been suspended from duty. "The individuals involved were suspended from duty and this matter is the subject of an internal investigation," the statement read.
"The Secret Service has a very strict code of conduct for all employees and any behavior that violates that code is unacceptable. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further."
A similar incident took place at former vice president Kamala Harris' security detail last year. A female agent gopt into a physical fight with her fellow agents. The agent, identified as Michelle Herczef, was acting erratically and grabbed a fellow agent's personal phone and started deleting applications from it. Herczeg told her fellow agents they would 'burn in hell and needed to listen to God.'
In a more recent incident of erratic functioning of Secret Service agents, a mysterious man earlier this month breached the security of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in Florida. A Security Service agent, however, immediately intervened and moved him away.
