Trump says Liz Cheney should have guns trained on her face: 'Let's see how...'

Former president Donald Trump called Republican Liz Cheney a "war hawk" and suggested that she should have guns trained on her face, "Let's see how she feels about it," Donald Trump said at an event with Tucker Carlson. Liz Cheney and his father former vice president Dick Cheney endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris for president. Liz Cheney campaigned extensively campaigned for Kamala Harris as several Republicans, including former president George W Bush's daughter Babara Bush, are supporting Kamala Harris in the election.

Trump said Liz Cheney is a "very dumb individual". "She's a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it. You know when the guns are trained on her face.”

“They’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building, saying, ‘Oh gee, let’s send 10,000 troops right in the mouth of the enemy,’” he added.

Trump's violent rhetoric came just days before the election and Cheney took to X to reply to that. "This is how dictators destroy free nation," the former Congresswoman said.

“They threaten those who speak against them with death. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel, unstable man who wants to be a tyrant.”

Trump said it was surprising that Dick Cheney also endorsed Harris because it was Trump who pardoned Cheney's former chief of staff Scooter Libby who was convicted of perjury in 2007. “I don’t blame him for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter’s a very dumb individual — very dumb,” Trump said.

Former Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney became one of Trump's most vocal critics in the party after the January 6 Capito Riots. Then she lost her primary because of her opposition to the former president.
