NEW DELHI: The Samajwadi Party ( SP ) on Wednesday requested to restore NSG protection cover for its president, Akhilesh Yadav , in addition to Z+ security, in a letter to Union home minister Amit Shah .
SP's request came in light of recent death threats issued to its president. In the letter, SP accused a man of threatening Yadav in front of national media. The party also alleged that a leader of BJP threatened Yadav.
The party also condemned the inaction of government against the man and the BJP leader in the letter.
