“We will see if it gets worked out,” UCLA's deal with QB Nico Iamaleava still not done

American Sports Media Personality Colin Cowherd shared on his X platform on April 17 that Nico Iamaleava is going to UCLA . He continued that Iamaleava’s Family claims it’s not about the money but about Tennessee Football ’s offense. Cowherd also mentioned that he wasn’t told what the Bruins were paying. An X user instantly commented on Colin Cowherd’s X post, “Everyone knew he was going to UCLA when you said this yesterday - the X user shared a 2-second clip of Cowherd saying, “UCLA doesn’t have the money.” Another X user said, “Would be a huge signing for UCLA football . School needs to make a splash.”

UCLA was content to sit tight while Iamaleava explored his option, an unnamed UCLA source shared with Low. Mike Florio on Pro Football Talk shared that if Nico Iamaleava goes to UCLA, he won’t get a deal close to $4 million from them that he expected from Tennessee Football. Iamaleava was earning $2.4 million at Tennessee.

Heupel is one of the best offensive gurus in the country. Also, confused because the dad indicated that Nico would be receiving a massive pay raise, yet every recent report claims he’s taking a pay cut.”

UCLA is a better program than Tennessee with better NIL and coaching.” A third X user wrote, “if it’s about the offense, then it makes a lot of sense.” A fourth X user said, “Yeah. You leave Tennessee because of the “offense” and go to UCLA 👍” A fifth X user said, “Good decision, young man. Big upgrade from Tennessee. Tennessee didn’t give you the right weapons and offensive line to succeed.”
