“We will see if it gets worked out,” UCLA's deal with QB Nico Iamaleava still not done

American Sports Media Personality Colin Cowherd shared on his X platform on April 17 that Nico Iamaleava is going to UCLA . He continued that Iamaleava’s Family claims it’s not about the money but about Tennessee Football ’s offense. Cowherd also mentioned that he wasn’t told what the Bruins were paying. An X user instantly commented on Colin Cowherd’s X post, “Everyone knew he was going to UCLA when you said this yesterday - the X user shared a 2-second clip of Cowherd saying, “UCLA doesn’t have the money.” Another X user said, “Would be a huge signing for UCLA football . School needs to make a splash.”

“We will see if it gets worked out. He’s extremely talented, with starting experience against elite competition. That’s sort of where we are right now.” a source from UCLA shared with ESPN. UCLA was content to sit tight while Iamaleava explored his option, an unnamed UCLA source shared with Low. Mike Florio on Pro Football Talk shared that if Nico Iamaleava goes to UCLA, he won’t get a deal close to $4 million from them that he expected from Tennessee Football. Iamaleava was earning $2.4 million at Tennessee.
