Jimmy Butler made his return in Game 4 after missing Game 3 due to his MCL sprain injury. And his return was sure of an impact. In the second quarter of the tightly contested match, cameras captured a fiery exchange between the Warriors forward and Rocket’s Dillon Brooks. Butler, during a free throw, calls Brook “b*m” and a “b**ch”, prompting brook to crack up.

The incident caught major eyes. After the Warriors 109-106 win, during post-game interview, Butler was asked if he enjoyed the fiery matchup and if it added an edge to the game. His response was direct. “No we are not having fun” he said, further adding “Get me on the record for this: I don’t like Dillion Brooks, so we are not having fun, I’m a fierce competitor, he’s a fierce competitor but ain’t nothing fun about that”


Play-offs Jimmy Butler isn’t here to make friends

While Butler had a slow start in Game 4, with just 4 points in the first half, his performance picked up as the intensity rose. Recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in 109-103 win. “That’s just part of game, your body starts to warm up, you move better, people start talking to you, and then good things happen,” said Butler.

Known for his postseason intensity, Butler made it clear that play-offs aren’t a place for friendship. “I don’t think anybody is trying to be friends with anybody on either team. That’s for sure” Butler said, further adding “Fun is winning. Fun is competing. And it’s going to be fun whenever we get four.”

With a strong 4-1 lead, the Warriors move ahead, but the series remains tense. Given the intensity between the teams, Game 5 promises to be a high stake showdown as both teams head to Houston.
