How many home runs will Kyle Tucker hit this season? Updated projections after his fast start

Though Tucker has also been on the receiving end of 12 strikeouts and 6 walks, he is still breaking records.



Besides, the former Houston Astros veteran is seen influencing the batting lineup of the Cubs through his performance. The Cubs’ manager, Craig Counsell, revealed that he had heard players discussing Tucker’s performance in different situations.

“It’s fun to see the other hitters react to watching him hit and just identifying his approach and picking things out about what they like about his approach. And that’s fun, because you can see the other guys trying to take something from Kyle,” said Counsell in an interview.


Tucker’s impact on the team can be well seen as he pulls in Seiya Suzuki for a home run. With Tucker handling the middle order, Suzuki went all out and has four homers in his bag till now.

In the first 12 games of the 2025 season, Tucker has earned a hitting average of .353, with the slash line going up to .319/.458/.745, along with 3 steals and 1.0 WAR.


Though in the last match of the Cubs vs Padres, the former couldn’t win in the Wrigley field, Tucker still delivered his best, scoring a home run in the match. However, it still remains to be seen how Tucker will perform in the upcoming games, which will also play a major role in how the Cubs will design the contract with the right fielder.
