On the sacred occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, reality TV star Shiv Thakare opened up about his spiritual side and revealed that he draws deep inspiration from Lord Hanuman. Celebrated on April 12 this year, Hanuman Jayanti marks the birth of the revered deity known for his unwavering loyalty, strength, and devotion.
Shiv, known for his appearances in Roadies Rising, Bigg Boss Marathi 2, Bigg Boss 16, Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, spoke with heartfelt reverence about the values he’s learned from mythology.
“Mythological epics teach us important values and lessons of life,” Shiv said. “Through the character of Lord Hanuman in Ramayana, we learn qualities like loyalty, selflessness, and humility. I'm a huge follower of him. Like Hanuman, we should value our relationships, friendship, help people in need, and promote goodwill among others.”
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive outlook in tough times, sharing how Hanuman’s approach to challenges has influenced his own mindset. “We should not let difficult times get the better of us. Whenever Lord Hanuman faced a challenge, he took a practical approach rather than blindly following rules. Whether it was burning down Lanka with his tail, lifting the mountain to find the medicinal herb, or offering war strategies—he adapted to the situation and acted wisely. We must learn to do the same.”
Shiv also shared how he marked the festival. “As for the celebration today, I started my day visiting a Hanuman temple. I chanted the Hanuman Chalisa, offered sweets, and distributed them among devotees. I pray that Lord Hanuman blesses us with strength, wisdom, and devotion, and gives us the courage to overcome every obstacle.”
Through his words and actions, Shiv continues to inspire fans not just as a TV personality, but as someone rooted in values and faith.
