Akshay Kumar, who is known to excel in patriotic roles, is ruling the box office as we speak with his latest release ‘Kesari 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh.' The movie opened with decent numbers and currently has surpassed all competition in the domestic arena. The movie with stable collection has made a strong hold at the box office and in it’s second week it has come closer to the Rs 70 crore mark.
‘Kesari 2’ box office collection day 11According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the early estimates suggest that though 'Kesari Chapter 2' saw a major dip from the weekend collection, it managed to make Rs.3 crore on its day 11, the second Monday.
The weekend began with Rs. 7.15 crore (Saturday collection) and then with more than 13 per cent rise, it went up to Rs. 8.1 crore on Sunday.
With this, the movie has currently collected Rs. Rs 68.40 crore. At this pace, earning and surpassing the Rs. 70 crore mark doesn’t seem like a distant dream.

While ‘Kesari 2’, despite the dip, was able to make Rs. 3 crore on Monday, both ‘Jaat’ and ‘Ground Zero’ struggled and failed to make even a crore. The former starrer Sunny Deol as the lead and Randeep Hooda as the antagonist made only Rs 62 lakhs, while the Emraan Hashmi film followed close behind with a collection of Rs 70 lakhs on Monday.
