Jhunjhunu: Education minister Madan Dilawar Sunday said that he has ordered an investigation into recent supply of sports kits in govt schools after receiving complaints about its poor quality and higher supply price by a company.
He said this during a programme at a private school at Tamkor in Jhunjhunu. "Anyone found guilty in this matter will face action."
It is noteworthy that sports kits, valued between Rs 20,000-25,000 were sent to govt schools. These kits not only contained substandard items but also billed at rates two to three times higher than market prices by a firm selected at the state level. The teachers' union is also opposing this.
Dilawar said no vice-principal positions were eliminated in govt schools, rather, the title was changed from vice-principal to senior lecturer.
