COIMBATORE: An email containing a bomb threat from an unknown person was sent to Coimbatore International Airport on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred around 10.30pm.
The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a thorough investigation and confirmed that the threat was a hoax.
Following the incident, a CISF official filed a complaint with the Peelamedu police in Coimbatore city.
Further investigation is underway.
