KOLHAPUR/PUNE: CM Eknath Shinde , on his return from the oath-taking ceremony of Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, claimed that Mahayuti would replicate a Haryana-like result in Maharashtra .

Interacting with mediapersons at Pune Airport, Shinde said the five-hour meeting discussed several projects in the states where NDA allies have formed govt.

"The Haryana result has showed that people prefer a govt which delivers on its promises. The people of Maharashtra stand by us, and I am confident that Mahayuti will replicate the Haryana result in the state," the CM said.

While Mahayuti had a below-par performance in the LS poll earlier this year, its members now say they will bounce back in the assembly poll. "The MVA govt stalled all projects and did not take any decisions. Our govt not only restarted all the projects, we also introduced several schemes for public welfare. We are confident that Mahayuti will once again form govt with a thumping majority," Shinde said.

Earlier, speaking to reporters at Dare Tam village in Satara district, Shinde said MVA partners, scared of defeat in the assembly poll, have already started blaming electoral roll , ECI, and electronic voting machines.

"MVA is only discussing CM's post. We are focusing on work. They are now levelling all sorts of allegations. They are seeing defeat coming their way," he said.

On NCP (SCP) state president Jayant Patil being projected as the frontrunner for the CM's post, Shinde said, "MVA should decide on its leader of opposition face as Mahayuti is going to win the election."
