Ishan Kishan underwent a tough past few months in cricket. At the start of te year, he was snubbed as BCCI announced the list of players for the annual central contracts. Accorsding to several reports this was done because Kishan did not prioritize domestic cricket enough, and missed the Ranji Trophy matches for Jharkhand despite repeated requests from the BCCI. He has lost his place in the Team India setup, having last donned the national jersey in the Test Series against South Africa. However, it looks like selectors are finally considering Kishan for Team India.

He will also be part of an intra-squad match between members of the Rohit Sharma-led senior team before the border-Gavaskar Trophy. The sectors are set to take this call because of Ishan Kishan's recent run of form in domestic cricket. He scored three centuries in red-ball cricket, scoring one on his return to domestic cricket in the Bichi Babu Tournament, He followed it up with a ton in the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024. His latest century came for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy against Railways. Ruturaj Gaikwad Or Abhimanyu Easwaran To Captain India AThe PTI report states thateither Abhimany Easwaran or Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the captain of the India A side that is set to take on Australia A in two four-day matches. Incidentally, they are the two front runners to replace Rohit Sharma, as the Indian captain is due to personal reasons.
