India's Longest-Ever Vande Bharat Express For Diwali And Chhath From Delhi-Patna: Timings, Stops And Fare

New Delhi: This festive season, India will witness its longest-ever travelling through around 994 kilometres in 11.5 hours. Every year, the Indian Railways ensure smooth travel for the citizens as it runs special festival trains during Diwali and Chhath Puja to allow devotees to celebrate the occasions. Diwali this year will be celebrated on October 31 and Chhat Puja on November 7.As of now, the longest route for the Vande Bharat train was the New Delhi-Varanasi service covering 771 kilometers.Now, Patna in Bihar is one of the most travelled cities during this time and to assist devotees, the Indian Railways will be running a special Vande Bharat Express (train number 002252) train between Patna and Delhi to meet the high travel demand during the Diwali and Chhath Puja. According to Times of India, the service will start on October 30 (a day before Diwali) and offer passengers with a faster and more comfortable travel option between these two major cities. The Vande Bharat Express is designed for a smooth and enjoyable journey and is a flagship of the NDA government at the Centre.

Vande Bharat Express Delhi-Patna Route, Timings And FareThe Vande Bharat will make stops at Buxar Junction and Arrah, offering additional travel options for passengers from these regions. It will run on selected dates during the festive season.The inaugural journey from Patna to Delhi is scheduled for October 30. After this, the train will run from Patna to Delhi on November 1, 3, and 6, and from Delhi to Patna on November 2, 4, and 7.As for timings, it will depart from Delhi at 8:25 AM and arrive at Patna at 8 PM. Likewise, it will leave Patna at 7:30 AM and reach Delhi by 7 PM. This planned timing allows passengers to make the most of their day while traveling in comfort. Other important steps along the route include Kanpur, Prayagraj, Buxar, and Arrah.The tickets for the AC Chair Car are priced at Rs 2,575 and Rs 4,655 for the AC Executive Chair Car. The Executive class provides amenities like tea, breakfast, and dinner.
