A section of the motorway was closed in both directions following a crash. The eastbound and westbound carriageways had been shut near Reading following the crash which saw emergency services - including the air ambulance - on the scene.
National Highways says the M4 eastbound junction 11 to junction 10 and M4 westbound junction 8/9 to junction 10 have both reopened. However, the slip road from the M4 eastbound at junction 10 remains closed, according the agency's latest update.
