This is how the price of engine oil is reduced

Send Push

Engine oil plays a vital role in the performance of the vehicle. It ensures that the engine works smoothly and all the intricate parts are properly lubricated. However, just like other vital fluids, engine oil also needs to be replaced and filled from time to time. In fact, changing and topping up the engine oil is an important part of your vehicle's regular maintenance, keeping your vehicle in good condition.

When to change engine oil?:  Engine oil is usually changed after every 10,000 km of driving or once a year. But in some cases, you may need to top up or replace the engine oil even before that. Sometimes the engine oil level may go low due to unforeseen circumstances.

Signs of low engine oil:  Here are three major signs that indicate that your car is running low on engine oil:

1. Warning light in the instrument cluster

The most obvious sign of a low engine oil level is when the engine oil indicator light in the instrument cluster comes on. If this light is constantly on, it means you need to top up the engine oil.

2. Engine overheating

A common sign that the engine is overheating is that the engine is running low on oil. The cooling system, which includes the coolant and radiator, regulates the engine's temperature. But engine oil also plays an important role in keeping engine parts cool. If the oil level is low, the engine will operate with less lubrication, increasing friction and heat. This can damage the powertrain.

3. Smell of burning oil

If you smell burning oil in the car cabin, it is a sign that the oil level in the engine has gone down. This smell indicates that oil is leaking from some part of the engine. When the leaked oil falls on the hot engine surface, it leaves a distinct smell. This means that oil is burning inside the engine, and it is important to address this problem immediately. By paying attention to these signs, you can better understand the condition of your vehicle's engine oil and take necessary action on time.
