The bomb of match fixing has exploded in the current 18th season of IPL, which has created chaos in Indian cricket.
A big controversy has erupted during the current 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 2008 champion and 2022 season runner-up Rajasthan Royals (RR) team has been accused of match fixing in IPL 2025.

Rajasthan Royals team could not score 9 runs in the last over against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 19 April at their home ground Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur and lost the match by 2 runs. After this close defeat, Rajasthan Royals team has been accused of match fixing by Jaideep Bihani, convenor of the ad-hoc committee of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).

Jaideep Bihani demanded an investigation.
BJP MLA from Sriganganagar and RCA ad-hoc committee convener Jaideep Bihani said in a conversation with ETV Bharat, 'The match of Rajasthan Royals against Lucknow Super Giants was fixed. It is easy to score 9 runs in the last over, that too when you have 6 wickets in hand. I demand that there should be a high-level investigation of this match and whatever report comes should be made public.'

How was the condition of RR vs LSG match?
Let us tell you that in this match, Lucknow batted first and gave a target of 181 runs to Rajasthan. At one point during the run chase, RR's score was (156/2). Yashasvi Jaiswal and stand-in captain Riyan Parag were at the crease. Rajasthan needed 25 runs from 18 balls to win, but then Lucknow fast bowler Avesh Khan dismissed Jaiswal and Parag. Rajasthan needed 9 runs to win in the last over. But, wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer and Shubham Dubey failed to score 9 runs.
