She told the audience: “Hello, cheeky chops, gosh, thank you Bafta, wow... I sometimes do this kind of cheesy thing where I look back on the younger me and moments in my life, and I imagine the kind of then me, seeing me now, and think, ‘little did we know’.”
Thanking show creator Richard, she gushed "[You have] changed my life" and added: “I’m so proud to be part of this show.”

Jessica has previously picked up Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe awards for playing Martha - the character who upends the life of Richard's character, Donny. The series has, however, proved to be controversial as fans quickly tracked down a real woman named Fiona Harvey who appeared to be a basis for the unhinged character.
Arguing she had been defamed by the show, Fiona launched a headline-grabbing lawsuit against Netflix - suing the streaming service for more than £120 million over the "brutal lies" that appear to tie her to the show.
Last year, The sat down for an exclusive interview with producers Ed Macdonald, Matt Jarvis, and Petra Fried who teased a "lost episode" of the miniseries could be released in 2025.
Revealing the existence of the missing episode, Macdonald said: “There was actually a lost episode which we filmed and it was lost in the edit.” Teasing what the episode was about, Ed added: “But it did involve a non-league football match which Richard, Matt, and I managed to get involved with. It was all made up.” He also mentioned that Richard’s team was Dundee.
When discussing the most rewarding part of the series, Jarvis said: “If you talk about the most rewarding, I think it’s that Richard talks about that We Are Survivors charity. He talks about it right from the start, about how he wanted to help people who have been through similar experiences. For me, for all of us, I think that’s the most rewarding thing.”
And when asked about the executives' favourite part of the show to film, Jarvis added: “When Donny's going on dates with Terry, do you know? The sort of montage where you see different people coming in. We did ad-lib quite a bit of that, and some of the ad-libs were pretty wild. Some of them made it onto the show, that was by far the funniest day on set.”
