For those seeking a budget-friendly getaway, camping remains the most cost-effective option. During the peak summer months of July and August, adults can enjoy a night's stay for just £13, while it's only £6.50 for children aged between three and fifteen.

However, during busier times such as bank holidays, guests may need to book a minimum of two or three nights. For those who fancy a bit of glamping, beach chalets and flats that sleep up to six are on offer as an alternative to pitching a tent.

Just a short two-and-a-half-hour drive from Liverpool, the site has been winning over guests, racking up a load of thumbs-up reviews.
