Lizzie Cundy has lifted the lid on her 'hellish' £250 gig as a Bond Girl. The ex-WAG, now 56, appeared in 1995 film Goldeneye, which was Pierce Brosnan's first outing as James Bond.
Then aged 26, Cundy was actress Famke Janssen's body double, standing in for her in the iconic sauna scene where her character Xenia Onatopp tries to strangle 007 with her legs. Despite being a trained actress, Cundy landed the gig last minute as she had the same measurements as the Danish star.
30 years on from the movie, Cundy paints a very bleak picture of life on set on the now-iconic film, bemoaning the smell of Brosnan's body double, and sharing her shock at how hairy the Irishman, now 71, was.

Speaking to the , Lizzie said: "I had to do the practicing with this smelly man, who had body odour, it was awful. It wasn't glamorous it wasn't well paid." That wasn't the only time Cundy was having to hold her breath, having to spend a lot of time waiting around in a trailer which "smelt of fish".
When she finally crossed paths with Brosnan, he was wearing just a towel, an eye-popping experience, describing him to the outlet as the "hairiest man she'd ever seen' and jokingly quipped she feared getting "fur balls".
Cundy said: "He was a lovely bloke, so funny and we got on like a house on fire, but so hairy, like an otter."
Despite the small paycheque - the , estimates that £250 in 1995 is the equivalent of £504 today - and poor conditions, Cundy continued to follow her dreams of screen stardom.

In 2021, she shared an anecdote on Instagram about her memories from her second time on a Bond set, and how Brosnan caught her and a pal "in his trailer using his toothbrush...thankfully he took it all in good spirit and we all laughed and went for a drink!"
