The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is perhaps one of the most stressful and challenging exams in India. For many aspirants, the expectations surrounding the exam can feel overwhelming sometimes leading them to take a break or even opt out entirely. But what recently captured the internet’s attention wasn’t just a student’s decision to skip the exam it was the deeply supportive message he received from his father.
It all came out when a Reddit user, going by the handle 'Spiritual-Box-9779', took to the site and posted screenshots of a private and emotional conversation with his father. Captioned "Crying after 8 years I just sent this to my father," the post went viral for its candidness and emotional tone within no time.
In the posts, the student confessed to his dad that he most probably would not clear the JEE Mains as he hadn't prepared enough. Following that came a reply which won hearts throughout social media.
Starting with the words "My cute baby" and laden with loving emojis, the father reassured his son gently that success and happiness are not measured by one exam. He continued, "BTech is possible without clearing JEE too," then "I will take care baby" and a final loving emoji.

The internet has since showered the post with praise, with numerous users praising the father's unconditional support and emotional intelligence qualities usually overlooked in high-pressure academic environments.
Netizens' Reactions
One user emotionally shared, “Whenever I see stuff like this, I feel like crying my heart out. I never had this kind of relationship with my parents. I could never express how I felt... just kept dying inside. We’ve never even talked for more than five minutes.”
Another user commented, “Not everyone is lucky enough to have a father like this. Forget JEE, you’ve already won at life.”
A third user added humorously, “Your dad calls you ‘baby’—dude, you’ve already cleared the toughest exam of all.”
Reflecting on a more painful experience, one user wrote, “After hearing my JEE response sheet marks, my father stopped talking to me altogether.”
