Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli expressed his regret after Phil Salt's run-out during the IPL 2025 game against the Delhi Capitals on Thursday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a video surfaced on social media, the 36-year-old looked at the giant screen and shook his head after seeing the replays.
The dismissal occurred in the 4th over of the innings as Capitals skipper Axar Patel brought himself to bowl his 2nd in the powerplay. Salt, who looked in lethal form, punched a length ball to cover and ran off for a single as Kohli also committed from the non-striker's end. However, the former RCB captain had aborted his run halfway and Salt had come a bit too far down the wicket. The Englishman had also slipped while trying to get back and KL Rahul whipped the bails off after Vipraj Nigam threw the ball to the keeper.

Salt had notably taken Mitchell Starc to the cleaners but had to walk off for 37 off 17 deliveries.
