Three schools from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have been named winners of the World's Best School Prizes 2024. Ryan International School in Delhi, CM RISE School Vinoba in Ratlam, and Kalvi International Public School in Madurai were each honored with awards.
CM RISE School Vinoba received the prize in the Innovation category. Ryan International School won the Environmental Action category. Kalvi International Public School received the Community Choice Award after securing the most public votes among 50 shortlisted schools.
The awards are presented by T4 Education, a London-based organization, in collaboration with Accenture, American Express, and the Lemann Foundation. Jill Huntley from Accenture praised the winners, saying, “Your innovative solutions will inspire countless others across the world to take the action necessary to safeguard the future of our planet.”
The winning schools will each receive $10,000. Kalvi International Public School will also gain membership to T4 Education's Best School to Work programme.
Vikas Pota, Founder of T4 Education, commented on the achievement of the Indian schools, saying, “For India to have not one but three schools triumph shows that the nation's institutions truly stand among the best in the world."
CM RISE School Vinoba was recognized for its educational innovations, including integrating local festivals and morning sports sessions. The school will use the prize money to expand its Learning and Development Lab. Ryan International School was honored for projects tackling water scarcity and pollution. The school plans to expand its green technologies and establish a start-up incubator with the prize money.
Other winners include Colegio Maria de Guadalupe in Argentina for Community Collaboration, Istituto Galilei-Costa-Scarambone in Italy for Supporting Healthy Lives, and the First Ukrainian School in Poland for Overcoming Adversity.
All winners will join the World Schools Summit in Dubai on November 23-24. The event aims to bring together global education leaders and showcase the achievements of the world's best schools.
