Malaika Arora recently made headlines when she openly questioned a numerologist about her romantic prospects in 2025 during a public event. This moment comes months after her highly-publicized breakup with actor Arjun Kapoor, ending a nearly six-year-long relationship in 2024. The query took place at an event hosted by celebrity numerologist Arviend Sud, where Malaika was seen engaging in a discussion about numerology and her personal life.
Arora asked Sud directly, “How will my love life be in 2025?” In response, Sud confidently stated, “If you ask me, your love life in 2025 will be 10 on 10.” This prompted a visibly relieved Malaika to respond, “Chalo, very good.” Sud further added, “You just asked about your love life. This will be a great year for your love life.”
During the interaction, Malaika expressed her reasons for attending, saying she felt drawn to the event as if it were a sign. “I am a very practical person so whenever I have gone to any of these things, like tarot, I have always gone with someone but me coming here today, I felt like this was a sign.”
Breakup With Arjun Kapoor Still In Spotlight
The timing of her question about her love life has reignited public interest in her breakup with Arjun Kapoor. In late 2024, Arjun publicly stated, “I am single,” during a Diwali event. When Malaika was asked to comment on his declaration, she told The Times of India that it was his choice to make such a statement and that she would prefer not to speak about her personal matters.
Despite the split, Arjun showed emotional maturity by standing by Malaika’s side when her father, Anil Mehta, passed away. On a podcast with Raj Shamani, Arjun explained his actions: “If I’ve formed an emotional bond with somebody, I would always like to believe that I will be there regardless of the good and the bad. If that person doesn’t want me there, I’ll maintain a distance, as I have in the past.”
Legal Trouble Adds to Malaika’s Public Scrutiny
Amid this renewed focus on her personal life, Malaika is also facing legal pressure regarding the 2012 Saif Ali Khan hotel brawl case. A Mumbai court recently criticized her for skipping multiple summons despite being aware of them. Malaika was part of the group dining with Saif Ali Khan at a luxury hotel during the alleged incident involving NRI businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma. After Sharma confronted the group for being too loud, Saif reportedly assaulted him, resulting in a nasal fracture. He and two others were charged under Section 325 of the IPC.
On April 29, Malaika failed to appear in court even after a bailable warrant had been issued. The court remarked, “Despite the knowledge, she (Arora) is trying to avoid the court proceeding intentionally.” Chief Judicial Magistrate K S Zanwar has now granted her one final opportunity to appear, with the next hearing scheduled for July 9. A non-bailable warrant may follow if she fails to comply.
Arora was previously married to actor Arbaaz Khan from 1998 to 2017, and the former couple shares a son, Arhaan Khan.
