The defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 48th match of the IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Ahead of the match, KKR middle-order batter shared his thoughts on how to approach an IPL game.
The left-hander batter admitted that he will focus on one game at a time. The all-rounder emphasised to stay in the present situation and not focus on other things. Helearnt that it the hard way, and developed to stay in the present moment.
“Having played IPL over the years this is one thing that I’ve understood is to take one game at a time and to be precise, take one moment at a time. It’s extremely important to stay in the present and give your all in this very moment rather than you know thinking about the past or future. This is one learning that I’ve taken and learnt it the hard way as well. I’ve understood that this might be a very basic thing, it might sound very basic, but it’s extremely tough to do. Over the years, I have developed the habit of staying in the present. So, I try not to think about the past or the future,” said Iyer on Star Sports ‘Gen Bold’ show.

“IPL is all about creating an impact. It might be a small impact but if you have done that and you have helped your team win. Then I think it actually lifts the entire team. But how they come, when they come in which situation I’ve done that, that is what matters,” he added.
