Punjab [India], October 31 (ANI): Amritsar Commissionerate police have dismantled interstate illegal weapons smuggle module and apprehended seven operatives. Police also seized 12 pistols and other ammunition, according to a statement on official social media handle.

In a series of posts on X, Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, Gaurav Yadav said, "In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police has dismantled an interstate illegal weapons smuggling module linked to USA-based Dilpreet Singh, apprehending seven operatives and seizing 12 pistols, 16 magazines, and 23 live cartridges."
Preliminary investigations reveal the module was providing logistical support to various gangs by procuring weapons from Madhya Pradesh, DGP Yadav added,
An FIR has been registered at PS Islamabad, and a thorough investigation is ongoing to identify others involved in the network, he added.
Punjab Police is committed to taking strict action against organized crime and illegal weapons trafficking, working to uncover all forward and backward linkages within the network, DGP added. (ANI)
