Bajaj Pulsar N125 vs TVS Raider 125: Price, engine, features, specs compared

Bajaj Auto India recently launched the new Bajaj Pulsar N125 motorcycle in the Indian market. The N125 is the smallest and most affordable new-age Pulsar and is priced from Rs 94,707 (ex-showroom). The Pulsar N125 is Bajaj’s fifth offering in the 125cc class after the Pulsar 125, Pulsar NS125, Freedom 125 and CT 125X. When launched, the new Pulsar 125 N will rival the TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R. In this article, let's compare the new Pulsar N125 with the TVS Raider 125 in terms of pricing, dimensions, engine, specs and more.

Comparing the variants and pricing first, the new Pulsar N125 is offered in two variants - Base priced at Rs 94,707 and Bluetooth priced at Rs 98,707 (both prices ex-showroom). The TVS Raider is offered with five trims - Drum, Single seat disc, Split seat disc, Super Squad editon, SmartXonnect and is priced between Rs 89,500 to Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom).

In terms of dimensions, the new Pulsar N125, the bike weighs 125 kg, has seat height of 795 mm, ground clearance of 198 mm, a wheelbase of 1295 mm and has a fuel tank capacity of 9.5 litres. The Raider 125 weighs 123 kg, has seat height of 780 mm, ground clearance of 180 mm, wheelbase of 1326 mm and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres.

Now let's compare the hardware, the N125 features 240 mm front discs with 130 Drums at the rear and has 17-inch wheels on both ends wrapped up in an 80/100 section tyre at the front and a 110/80 section tyre at the rear. Suspension duties are taken care of by a Telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear on both bikes.


Finally comparing the engines, the new Pulsar N125 gets an air-cooled, 124.58cc, single-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 12 hp of power and 11Nm of torque and comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The TVS Raider is powered by an air-cooled, 124.58cc, single-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 11.4 hp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque and comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

In terms of features, the N125 gets LED headlights, taillights LCD dash with Bluetooth connectivity and singe-channel ABS. The Raider also features an LED headlight, taillight, single-channel ABS and TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
