Jey Uso breaks his silence on not main-eventing WrestleMania 41

Send Push

Jey Uso is set to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41 in what promises to be a deeply personal match. The contest, however, won’t be the main event of the ‘Night One’. In a recent vlog, ‘The Yeet Master’ opened up about not headlining  ‘The Show of Shows’ despite winning The Royal Rumble match.

Jey Uso is happy to be on the WrestleMania 41 main card

Traditionally, the winners of the Royal Rumble match main-event WrestleMania when they challenge for the title of their choice. However, this is not the case with Jey Uso. In a new vlog, he said that he wanted to main-event WrestleMania but has no problems with that not happening, as being at the event itself is a big thing.

“Saturday's my day. I'm on the first night, so I really hope like I'm being detailed here, but I really hope I'm on first. Obviously, I wanted to main event. We know that's not gonna happen, which is okay with me. I feel like if you're on the WrestleMania card, period, uce. That's something big,” he said.

Earlier, Gunther had stated on the Ariel Helwani Show that he will put in his best efforts regardless of the match's position on the card.

About Jey Uso and Gunther’s feud

Jey Uso and Gunther have faced off thrice with ‘The Ring General’ emerging victorious on each occasion. This essentially means that the odds are stacked against Rikishi’s son at the grand event. Jey and Gunther’s feud took a shocking turn some time ago when the Austrian star bloodied Jimmy Uso, Jey’s twin, on Raw. Following this, the master of the Yeet chant promised to get payback on Gunther at WrestleMania 41.

‘The Showcase of the Immortals’ will be held in Las Vegas on April 19 and April 20.
