Blake Lively is having a week. While she might be basking in the glow of being named a “Titan” on Time magazine’s 2025 Most Influential People list, the internet is busy side-eyeing her crown — and not just because of the title. The award comes smack in the middle of her fiery legal brawl with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, and let’s just say, the timing has the internet in full-on popcorn mode.

Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during the film’s production, with a legal complaint that also alleges he launched a calculated smear campaign to sink her reputation. Baldoni has since clapped back, filing his own lawsuit in January, claiming Lively traumatised him, his family and even his team. He says the harassment allegations are baseless and part of a strategic move to regain public sympathy.

And then bam — the Time100 list drops. Lively lands in the “Titan” category, celebrated not for her red carpet slays or Gossip Girl legacy, but for her off-screen activism. Civil rights icon Sherrilyn Ifill, who wrote her Time tribute, described Lively as a deeply curious, informed and socially engaged citizen who made thoughtful contributions — including a hefty $2 million donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund back in 2019.
X users troll Blake Lively, call her a 'PR queen'“Blake Lively?!?! good heavens, what did her PR team pay you to get her on that list?” one user snarked. Others dragged up the infamous plantation wedding she and husband Ryan Reynolds had tried to leave behind. Another declared that Time had officially “become a joke.”
Like clockwork, Baldoni's defenders are now harassing civil rights lawyer Sherrilyn Ifill for expressing her opinion and naming Blake Lively as a Titan in the #TIME100

This is the most egregious PR stunt Blake Lively has ever done. It's so offensive I thought it was satire. TIME Magazine said f-ck it and named Blake Lively one of the most influential of 2025 in the “Titan” category as a CIVIL RIGHTS CHAMPION. Why? She and Ryan Reynolds donated… pic.twitter.com/7q00Synjzk

Still, her fans are standing tall. One posted, “Absolutely deserved. She is more than a Hollywood face — she’s a powerhouse.” Another chimed in, “Another Blake W. Keep crying.”
So, is she a Titan or just riding the PR waves? In true Blake fashion, she has kept her lips sealed, letting the discourse do the talking — and clearly, it is loud.
