Supervet sensation Noel Fitzpatrick was visibly moved to tears after a heartwarming update from a pet owner during his stint on The One Show.
Gracing the couch, the celebrated vet sat alongside guest Julianne Moore as he spoke about his newest projects and recounted awe-inspiring tales of past animal surgeries. In the midst of the engaging exchange, host brought up a particularly daring operation Noel performed on a feline named Oscar.
Vick observed: "You are known as the Supervet for a very good reason. You were the first person to perform a bionic double leg implant on a cat called Oscar; I mean, this was a risky thing to do at the time!"
In response, Noel remarked: "Well, it's interesting how much things have progressed over time like that was more than 15 years ago now." He then disclosed the harrowing backstory of how Oscar tragically got his hind legs "chopped off by a combine harvester," necessitating urgent medical intervention.
The atmosphere turned unexpectedly poignant when Roman Kemp interjected later in their conversation with an astonishing revelation regarding Oscar's recovery, courtesy of a video message from the cat's human, Mike.
An astounded Noel heard host Roman announce: "Your work is incredible as well, and you don't know we've done this, but Oscar's still going strong, 15 years on. "Upon hearing news of the feline's unexpected progress, the Supervet responded emotionally: "Oh my goodness," reports .
In the adorable video, Mike is seen cradling a radiant Oscar. Mike expressed gratitude with the words: "Hi Noel, this is Oscar here in sunny Jersey. We just wanted to give you an update on how he's doing.
"He's been thriving for over 15 years since his accident. At 17, he owes his life to your kindness. We owe you a massive thanks."
Switching focus back to a visibly moved Noel at the studio, tears roll down as he buries his face in his palms. Overwhelmed, Noel admits: "My goodness, you're so naughty!"
He continues, profoundly touched: "That's incredible how you bring more than a decade of life and love, and you can bring light into the . It's an honour!"
